It's not really a requirement to uninstall IntraWeb before you
*purchase* a new version, but it's certainly wise to uninstall it before
installing the new version ;-)

The default version of IntraWeb was installed with the installer of
Delphi itself, so in general, the best way to remove it, is to use the
Delphi installer, do a "Modify" and deselect the IntraWeb feature.

If that doesn't work, you can also find the IntraWeb folder on disk and
remove it by hand, as well as all IntraWeb packages (you are using the
default IntraWeb 5.x that came with Delphi 7, I assume?)

Yeah Bob, I understand that - but I'm kinda from Missouri (might lose
its context across the pond) ... but I don't believe nothing till I
see it. And I want to see Intraweb uninstalled prior to putting money
on the table.

Where is the "Delphi installer" ?? Is it part of Delphi? I see

Component
Install Packages
Then I could deselect the IW ... but I don't see any
modify. You are the second person who told me to use
the "Delphi installer". Just where the heck is it? :)

Actually, I like this manual job idea better. If I find all the IW files
and just erase them that will do the trick? Being dumb again, how do
I remove an IW package ... I need a button-by-button explanation if
possible. And yes, I am using
the 5.x that ORIGINALLY came with Delphi 7, 300 years ago. (in computer
years). Thanks for your help ... if you did not have that BeNeLux thing
in the way I would do business with ya. Or you could move to Georgia.
In fact, I plan on buying that PDF book you have when I get this latest
version of IW working - but remember, "dont believe anything till you
see it".

And groetjes to you,
Bob
